Here’s how I went from being a nervous wreck to a calm, confident, present, and playful mom

I know you can too.

After a traumatic emergency cesarean with my son, I spent years sweeping my symptoms of postpartum anxiety and PTSD under the rug, not even understanding what was happening. I spiraled out of control searching for something, anything that would help me feel better. 

I read self-improvement books like they were going out of style. I tried yoga and exercise classes. I tried therapy. I didn’t know what was wrong but I knew something wasn’t right. It happened slowly, as I realized that his birth had been traumatic, I slowly learned to live with the trauma.

I had done all the “right” things but when I became pregnant unexpectedly in 2018 all the unresolved trauma came back up to the surface. After a few months of paralyzing fear and constant tears, I made a decision. A decision to change and grow. To transform. To take responsibility for my healing journey. That is when my intentional healing journey really began.

After a lot of preparation and mindset work, I had an amazing VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) with my daughter and decided to leave the world of teaching special education to be with my kids. 

I was then able to really dive into healing and deciding, intentionally, who I wanted to be. I did all the things trying to feel better but I was still an anxious wreck one year after her birth. Don’t get me wrong it was so. much. better. than it had been the first time. 

I spent hours with a therapist. I had the “healing birth”. I was a working mom. I was a stay-at-home mom. I moved my body on a regular basis but I was still an anxious wreck, especially if I didn’t get to two yoga classes a week. 

After years of learning about healing, and taking training after training and working on healing my Self I finally figured out how to regulate my emotions, my nervous system, and most importantly my energy. Now I teach you how to do the same: How to heal from WITHIN because we can’t truly heal by looking outside ourselves, like I had tried for so long. 

I believe in your ability to heal your SELF and I honor that everyone needs different things to heal. I never judge what works for you. This gives you the best of both worlds where you can really learn that there is a lot you have control over, and lean on other tools and “regular” modalities when you need to.

I now focus on addressing and preventing birth trauma, supporting birthing people in preparing for birth after birth trauma, and supporting overwhelmed moms. 

I’m an energy healer with a regular doctor and an OB *gasp* I know… a surgeon for my annual well visits. I was raised with a “Better living through chemistry” mentality and now I live on the crunchy-ish side of the spectrum. I break out regular pharmaceuticals when I need to and I rely on energy and natural healing modalities for my day-to-day. This gives you the best of both worlds where you can really learn that there is a lot you have control over, and lean on other tools and “regular” modalities when you need to.
